Tony Satchell - Managing Director

Tony started his career running the family farm in Sussex which had the only pedigree herd of Welsh Black Cattle in the South of England. At 19 he came up to London temporarily to baby-sit the offices of the music management company MMM.

He went on to tour managed RCA’s ground breaking classical-rock band Continuum`s UK tours.

Tony was a founding partner of Dart Records, one of the first independent UK record labels, starting as a Plugger, moving through A&R to becoming M.D.  After ten turbulent, drunk, drugged, exhausting, but exciting years, the record label was sold to President Records.

He then joined record producers and artistes Barry Kirsch & Charlie Spencer to run their music production company, which turned into the commercial music company Candle Music.  He is also on the committee of the advertising industry body PCAM, which looks after the interests of commissioned music writers.

From Monday to Thursday he lives on a 50ft traditional Narrowboat, Kildare IV, moored in the heart of London at  Little Venice, returning on Friday to join his family Gilmore, Cassandra, Oakley and wife Mary in their secluded house on Newtown Creek, near Yarmouth in the Isle of Wight. He is available 24/7.

What a thing: Tony breeds Scots Dumpys (rare breed chickens), gardens, shoots, sleeps in his hammock and drives a 1952 Ferguson TD20 tractor and 5.5 metre Avon RIB dayboat
